Show Notes after the jump

Show Notes

Stephen likes to get ideas from his surroundings
King's Canyon National Park
[Adam had a really hard time figuring out what to actually write down as far as notes go; some links, it seems, really didn't need to be included.]
Jobe apparently really likes stew
"I don't want to do another goblin ambush." Unlike Lost Mine of Phandelver.
Jobe: "Try to do something that hasn't been done before."
Which means you have to read everything out there; never stop reading.
"Set the sate, put the gun on the wall and let the players do what they're going to do."
Chekov's gun?
PLAYTEST!
LISTEN TO YOUR PLAYTESTERS!
Hooks should motivate action, not reaction.

Third Rail of Gaming

Roll under your stat as a task resolution system?
Donn loves it because it makes your stats matter
Adam doesn't like it because rolling low "is dumb"
Jobe likes it and his anecdote fizzled
Stephen does it just for Luck rolls in DCC

Thanks for joining us for this episode of Drink Spin Run. We'd love to read your comments on the show, suggestions, where exactly we can stick what and other thinly-veiled threats. Send us your thoughts at dsr@kickassistan.net. Once again, thanks for listening.
